What to know before selecting a product.
How do direct-acting and servo-assisted valves differ?
Direct-acting valves are operated directly by electromagnetic force. Servo-assisted valves use fluid pressure to assist operation. Check the product datasheet for minimum differential pressure and operating requirements.
Is the Kv value enough to select a valve?
Kv describes flow capacity. Selection also requires fluid type, differential pressure, temperature, viscosity and control range. For gases, compressibility and reference conditions must also be considered.
What information is needed for an MFC inquiry?
Bürkert offers customized MFC products tailored to each customer’s process conditions.
Please provide gas type, maximum and minimum flow, reference conditions, inlet and outlet pressures, temperature, signal, power supply, connection size and mounting orientation (vertical/horizontal). We also review calibration conditions.
Where can I find certificates and technical documents?
Current datasheets and operating instructions are available from Bürkert. CE, SIL and explosion protection applicability must be checked against the specific article number and specification, as well as the product Type.
